Kids to Court - CourtWorks Program

Court of Appeals Judge Mary H. Murguia

 

The federal court in Phoenix recently welcomed hundreds of young students for a half-day program focusing on individual rights provided under the Constitution.

Some 300 eight-graders from six Phoenix-area schools participated in the CourtWorks program, held October 28, 2011, at the Sandra Day O’Connor United States Courthouse. The event was hosted by the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and organized by law students at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at nearby Arizona State University. More than 70 members of the bar participated.
